Fairfield Paediatrics is seeking expressions of interest for an experienced paediatric psychologist to join the team. The practice was established in July 2019 and has seen rapid growth. We are a custom-designed, boutique clinic with the interior specifically designed using natural timbers to create a calm, welcoming and relaxing environment for children and their families.
Previous experience working in a private practice setting is preferred. This role will provide services for children with a range of psychological needs including language, Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental/behavioural issues, social skills, literacy, as well as child and adolescent psychology. There is also a requirement to be registered as an NDIS provider for self-funded clients.
The role involves working as part of our multidisciplinary team to:
- Provide strength and evidence based early childhood intervention to children and families.
- Work with patients to set achievable goals that will support them to function more independently at home, school and in the community.
- Facilitate social skills, school readiness or other discipline specific groups as the need arises.
- Liaise with parents/carers, and external professionals/agencies as required to ensure care of patients and appropriate case management.
